David’s Swim School and Phyl’s Academy Preparatory School joined forces to fight drowning together. Through this partnership, every Phyl’s student can learn to swim with a professional aquatic program, without the school needing to run its own aquatic department.
Busy schedules are one of the biggest reasons kids miss swim lessons. So we brought the lessons to campus, inside the school day, where students learn in a place they already know and trust.
Your child swims while at school. We handle the instructors, lifeguards, schedule and progress tracking.

Our coaches evaluate each student and place them in the right level and group.
4 to 5 scheduled lessons each month, during the school day, with trained instructors and lifeguards.
Ongoing evaluations, digital progress reports, certificates and level advancement.

Knowing how to swim is just the beginning. Every Phyl’s student also learns how to stay safe, recognize danger and act the right way in the water, with the same training our lifeguards and instructors use.
Age-appropriate CPR and first-response skills, with hands-on practice.
Reach or throw, don’t go: how to help a friend without putting yourself at risk.
Drowning is quiet. Kids learn to spot a swimmer in trouble and call for help fast.
Stay calm, call a grown-up or 911, grab something that floats.
Roll on your back and float, tread water and get safely to the wall.
Never swim alone, always with an adult watching, and respect the depth.
🎓 Teens can go further with CPR and Lifeguard training, opening doors to certifications and their first job.

Phyl’s families get the same professional program our students enjoy at every David’s Swim School location.
Students who reach Level 6 become eligible for the Phyl’s Academy Swim Team, with the chance to compete, train at an advanced level and represent their school.
Every year we celebrate our swimmers at the Phyl’s Academy Cup, held right at the campus pool at 7205 Royal Palm Blvd, Margate.
